- paving the way for his move to the Williams team
next year.

The
23 - year - old had launched legal action against Jordan
after the team refused to let him speak to Williams about a
proposed four - year contract.
And team
boss Eddie Jordan criticised Schumacher's
older brother - double world champion Michael - for trying
to persuade the driver to join a new outfit.
"I am not amused by
Michael's efforts to tell Ralf to switch teams," Jordan said.
But now,
just two days after Schumacher finished second
behind team - mate Damon Hill in the
Belgian Grand Prix, Jordan are ready to let their No.2
driver go.
Schumacher's manager
Willi Weber said: "Negotiations with Williams
are under way, but apart from that I don't
want to say any more."
